Dr. Joshua Stream completed medical school at Johns Hopkins University, followed by internship and residency in anesthesiology at the University of Utah. After residency, he completed a one-year fellowship in regional anesthesia and acute pain management, after which he moved to Anchorage. Since 2012, Dr. Stream has worked exclusively at Providence Alaska Medical Center, where he is Chief of the Acute Pain Service, Chair of the inter-departmental Pain Management Council, and a Perioperative Medical Director for the Department of Anesthesiology. Since 2014, he has also worked as an educator on opioids and multimodal pain management, from the institutional to the state and regional level.
