Kelli Crowder has been an RN for 15 years mostly working in the ICU/ER for all of her career. She is originally from Virginia Beach where she went to nursing school and then took her first RN job as a med/surg RN on an ortho floor in South Carolina. From there she moved to South Florida where she ended up in the trauma ICU. She has also been charge nurse during her career, a travel nurse for about 6 years, and worked in New York City during the heavy COVID days. During her RN traveling days she found Sitka, Alaska which is where she lives now and currently works in the ED. During her free time she has been building a platform where she talks to fellow nurses about burnout. She does not believe nursing school, management, administrators, or our benefits prepare us for addressing or preventing burnout so she decided to start talking about the subject with the hopes that in some way it can make a difference.
