Krista has been an emergency room nurse for 14 years. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Alaska and a graduate degree from Aspen University. Her clinical areas of passion include emergency medicine, trauma, resuscitation, and education. For the past 11 years she has worked at Providence Alaska as a clinical nurse, educator, and trauma clinical coordinator. She has also worked as adjunct faculty for the nursing program at the University of Alaska. In her current role as Trauma Program Manager, she oversees and facilitates the Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Program.
