Nan Magrath graduated from Duke University with her BSN in 1982 and has worked as a nurse in acute care hospitals ever since. Over those 42 years, she has worked in critical care, NICU, Infection Control and management, but her passion is Behavioral Health. She has worked at Providence in the Behavioral Health service line for the last 19 years. She has worked in psych as a staff nurse, an educator, a CNS, and currently as a psychiatric NP working with adult patients on MHU. Nan grew up in New Jersey and came to Alaska with her sister for an adventure – for the summer of 1990. Her boyfriend followed her here later, they married and have raised their family in Anchorage.
