The Alaska Nurses Association is proud to be able to offer six conference attendance scholarships to the 6th Annual Trending Topics in Nursing Conference on October 11th – October 13th, 2018.
The scholarship applications are due by September 28th, 2018 to enable nurses and nursing students have adequate time to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.
The purpose of these scholarships is to promote our commitment to providing educational opportunities to nurses, while encouraging nurses to explore and expand their opportunities for education and advancement.
There are three categories of scholarships:
- Two scholarships for Nursing Students
- One Scholarship for New Graduates
- One scholarship for Rural Alaskan Nurses
- Two scholarships for ALL Nurses
The scholarships for Nursing Students are open to current nursing students at either the University of Alaska, or Charter College Anchorage. Two scholarships will be awarded: one will be awarded to a nursing student at the University of Alaska, and one will be awarded to a nursing student at Charter College. The scholarship for New Graduates is open to nurses who have graduated an accredited nursing program in the United States in the past 12 months; one scholarship will be awarded.
The scholarship for Rural Nurses is open to Registered Nurses living outside of Anchorage, Fairbanks, Mat-Su, and the Kenai Peninsula, and will come in the form of a $500 stipend. One scholarship will be awarded.
The scholarship for ALL Nurses is open to ALL Registered Nurses living in Alaska. Two scholarships will be awarded.

The award for successful scholarship applicants covers the registration fee for the Conference at the Sixth Annual Trending Topics in Nursing Conference on October 11th – October 13th, 2018.
Applications must be submitted to Dani Wildermuth by the application deadline of September 28th, 2018.
