Roopa
Ninan

Roopa Ninan, BSN, RN, MHA, CCRN has over 25 years of pediatric critical care experience, beginning her pediatric nursing journey in India and continuing to work in PICU, CICU, and ECMO while in the Lower 48, and a few years of flight nursing here in Alaska.

Recently, she has served as an educator, nursing leader, and currently as a pediatric trauma program coordinator, focusing on improving pediatric trauma care so that injured children can receive high-quality treatment in Alaska without needing out-of-state transfers.

Rosemary Timmerman

Dr. Rosemary Timmerman, DNP, APRN, CCNS, CCRN-CSC-CMC is a clinical nurse specialist and nursing research scientist at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Dr. Timmerman has over 40 years of critical care nursing experience and has spoken at local, regional, national, and international nursing conferences on a variety of nursing topics. Dr. Timmerman received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of South Alabama in 2015 and is currently working on a PhD in nursing at Wilkes University.

Rebecca Schneider

Rebecca Schneider, BSN, RN, CEN, CPEN, TCRN, has dedicated 15 years to emergency nursing, working in settings from critical access hospitals to Level 1 trauma centers. She served as President of the Alaska Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) from 2020 to 2023 and currently sits on its Board of Directors. Rebecca has represented Alaska as a delegate at multiple national ENA conferences and recently authored a chapter for the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC). She is currently focused on pediatric trauma at Providence Alaska Medical Center, where she reviews cases and implements performance improvement projects to enhance pediatric trauma care.

Rachel
Lescher

Dr. Rachel Lescher, MD is a pediatric endocrinologist at Alaska Native Medical Center, working within the Tribal Health system since 2011, currently employed by Southcentral Foundation. She manages pediatric patients from birth to 18 years old with endocrinologic conditions, including all types of diabetes.

Beverly
Holmes

Beverly Holmes, MBA, CHAE, CHTP has over 30 years experience working in business and financial management, specializing in the hospitality industry. She began teaching at Alaska Pacific University as an adjunct professor in 1998. In 2007, she became a full time faculty member in the Institute of Business and Public Policy. She teaches in the graduate and undergraduate programs on the topics of leadership, organizational communication and accounting. She is a certified trainer in the Strength Deployment Inventory, a member of the Sigma Beta Delta honor Society and current Director of the Institute of Business and Public Policy at Alaska Pacific University.

Lindsey
Sprinkle

Lindsey Sprinkle, MS, CCC-SLP is an Infection Preventionist at Providence Alaska Medical Center and Children's Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. Trained as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Lindsey worked as an acute care SLP for more than 10 years before transitioning to Infection Prevention in 2024. Lindsey was drawn to the field of Infection Prevention as a means to merge bedside experience with process improvement and improved patient outcomes.

Mace

Marley Mace, MLS(ASCP)CM is an Infection Preventionist at Providence Alaska Medical Center and Children's Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. Marley worked as a generalist Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS, ASCPCM) for 4 years in both acute care and critical access hospitals. Inspired by experiencing the results of a lapse in infection prevention measures, she joined the PAMC infection prevention team in 2024 to turn laboratory results into meaningful interventions for both patients and staff.

Lada

Dr. Robert Lada, MD attended Medical School at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio with a Fellowship in NeuroIntensive Care at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is Board Certified in Neurology in addition to Sleep Medicine and Vascular Neurology. With enthusiasm and a vision to serve communities in need of his subspecialty, Dr. Lada moved to Alaska with his wife and four children in 2008. Here, he accepted the position as Medical Director of Neuroscience Services at Providence Alaska Medical Center and continues in this role currently.

Dr. Cynthia Booher, PhD, RN is a distinguished leader in nursing education and the current Dean of the School of Nursing at Charter College in Anchorage, Alaska.

With over 20 years of experience spanning clinical practice, academic leadership, and curriculum innovation, Dr. Booher brings a wealth of expertise to the nursing profession. Her career includes impactful roles such as Director of Nursing at Providence Health & Services and Assistant Professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She earned her PhD in Nursing Science from the University of Phoenix, and her contributions have been widely recognized for advancing nursing education and practice.

Elizabeth Coste, MSN, RN is a dedicated nurse educator and clinician with expertise in medical-surgical nursing, evidence-based practice, and patient safety. She currently serves as a nursing professor, where she integrates the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model (CJMM) and concept-based learning into her teaching to prepare students for success in clinical practice and the NCLEX. Elizabeth is passionate about simulation-based education, interprofessional collaboration, and mentoring future nurses to develop strong clinical reasoning, leadership, and compassionate care skills that improve patient outcomes.

Claman

Senator Matt Claman was first elected to the Alaska State House in November 2014, where he served for 8 years. During that time, he chaired the Judiciary Committee for 6 years and was the prime sponsor for House Bill 312, legislation that aimed to protect healthcare workers by ensuring that violent individuals can be arrested without a warrant. He worked extensively on the Crisis Now legislation, both crisis intervention and crisis residential, and sponsored legislation to improve access to telehealth in Alaska. In 2022, Matt was elected to the Alaska State Senate, and currently represents West Anchorage. He chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee and is a member of the 14-member bipartisan majority.
